A Father & Son
Conversation
The goal was simple. To cut down on screen time
so to create a vast space for a father to spend more
time with his son. And that's the original idea.

The medium: art.
Because that is their common interests.
​
Dialogues took place.
A lot of exploring. Colors. Mediums.
Fun. Laughter. Chatter.
Soon they waned.
Frustrations ruled. Exhaustion.
Loss of momentum.
​
Monologues took over.
​
And now it turns into a dialogue between
the father and his father in heaven.
Reflections. Meditations. Prayers.

A sacred space.

At a tender age of four, Alexander found himself highly interested in creating artworks. His fascination with shapes, colors, mediums and even storytelling was apparent. What initially thought was as a fad soon grew into a more serious pursuit. And when his artworks were sold, his father knew his son was onto something.
Alexander has his own mind. He cannot be coaxed to create. He will paint when he feels like it and when he decides to stop nothing is going to change his mind.
Be mesmerized by the birth of a little creator!

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1975, Sandakan, Sabah, Kevin captures his expressions through bold, abstract strokes on a canvas. He developed his interest at a tender age, and when two of his paintings were selected to be hung up for display in class, he knew that his connection with art was to be an ever-expansive horizon.

Albeit never having received proper training, his adventurous soul now ignites him to experiment with a variety of media.
​
Kevin is free-spirited by nature and a rebel at heart. As such, abstract expressionism defines his approach not just towards art but life as a whole. Kevin now paints from his studio, based in Kuala Lumpur.
